Nursing Home Ministry

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.   <James 1:27>

Monthly our church holds servies at the local nursing home in Saint Stephen.  The youth sing and play instruments.  The residents always love to see the young people.  One of our preachers brings a message from God's word.  This is the last chance for some to hear the gospel.

A family in our church also picks up several residents from the nursing home and brings them to our Sunday morning service each week.  This has been a great blessing to those who are able to attend.  Having these elderly saints in our services is also an encourgement to our church.  One lady, who has been a member of our church for years, stands and tells of God's faithfullness thru her life.  This same lady reads her Bible cover to cover many times a year.  It is an honor for our church to be able to have these saints in our services.
