Bro. Charles Butler

Hello my name is Charles Butler and we are delighted to have you visit our webpage.  I would like to tell you a little about my background.  I graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in 1989 in Orangeburg, SC and enrolled as a Mathematics / Engineering major at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA.  In my junior year God began convicting my heart that my life was headed in the wrong direction despite all of my efforts to obtain a good education.  In the spring of 1992 in the middle of Physics class it seems the Lord spoke to my heart saying, “The reason why you are so unhappy is because you are not living according to My Will.”  A few days later while under deep conviction, I went to work at my part-time job as a busboy at the Old Spaghetti Factory.  While working I met a woman (a customer) named Ms. Ingrid Fanning who was having dinner.  She was sitting totally alone and had a look of joy and peace upon her face that I had never seen before.  We began to converse and she told me what I needed was a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  She encouraged me to purchase a Bible and gave me some Bible verses to read.  The very next day I did.  One day while reading the Word of God I realized my lost condition and repented of my sins and trusted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  In 1997, I was called into the ministry while attending a Missions Conference at Bible Baptist Church in Victorville, CA. In January of 1998, I enrolled in Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Greenville, SC and graduated in May 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theology. I have been a missionary with Macedonia World Baptist Missions since 2002.  We started New Hope Baptist Church in November of 2009 in Moncks Corner,SC.  We are currently meeting at the Berkeley Electrical Cooperative every Sunday Morning 11:00am.
